“Abodewise Editorial Team” is the name we use for the people responsible for the accuracy, clarity, and ongoing maintenance of content on abodewise.co.uk. We build calculators and write guides to help you understand UK property finance — but we do not provide personalised financial advice.

When a calculator or guide says it has been reviewed, we mean we have checked it for:
- Math and logic accuracy (the calculations match the stated methodology)
- Clear assumptions (what the model includes and excludes is stated plainly)
- Source alignment (thresholds, rates, and definitions align with reputable primary sources where applicable)
- Compliance language (no misleading claims; clear “estimates only” messaging)
Review does not mean we are giving regulated financial advice, and it does not mean the output will match every lender or solicitor’s exact method. For important decisions, verify figures with your lender, conveyancer, or a qualified adviser.
For each calculator, we aim to provide a transparent model. Our review typically includes:
- Method check: confirm the on-page methodology matches the implemented formula.
- Scenario testing: run common and edge-case scenarios (e.g., low/high values, boundary conditions).
- Source check: ensure referenced rates/rules match the cited primary sources at the time of update.
- Content check: confirm assumptions, limitations, and warnings are clear and prominent.
Property finance rules change. When updates are needed, we aim to:
- Update calculator logic and on-page assumptions/methodology together
- Add or refresh primary sources and note update dates
- Clearly show a “Last updated” date for the calculator page
